The gardens are very beautiful and the house well kept. It is a pleasant place to go for a walk. It is a little out of the way

Sorry you feel this way about the cost of Admission. For information, the admission is for the guided tour of the Museum which you will be able to see and learn 8 rooms of the house.

Went with the family and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive tour and seeing all the historical items within the house . Great hike to the top of the mountain near the area with picturesque view. By far the best historical museum and site on-island . I...More

We walked around ourselves instead of taking a tour due to time restraints. Was interesting and would have liked to see his grave

Great tour and an interesting backstory. The grounds are immaculate and I highly recommend the walk up Mt Vaea to the tomb - the views are awesome. We went up the short way after heavy rain, it was a bit steep in places and a...More

We only spent a few minutes here. This was a beautiful old homestead. A little pricey to go for a tour - which we didn't do. the gardens were amazing.

Awesome. The museum was great for teenagers. Make sure to take some water up the hill. You can take a short 45 min. Walk (steep) up the hill or an hour easy walk. Worth visiting the grave and a view from the top is stunning.

The tour guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She also song a beautiful song in Samoan as part of the tour. The house and gardens are well maintained.

It is quite a hike up to the grave and can be very slippery when wet. I agree with the previous comments that perhaps a visit to the museum would be sufficient, I wouldn't recommend the walk to the grave site.

It is best for you to grab a taxi. The taxi fare cost $10.00 tala to come from the ship to the Museum. The Museum can order you another taxi with the same amount to go back to the Ship.
