We almost missed out on this Gem for travelling around the Island. If you are staying in Apia, go here. The best beach near Apia.

We walked 10 minutes from our cruise ship to this marine preserve. It has a well maintained beach area with shaded picnic tables and restrooms. One had to snorkel about 100 yards away from shore over 3 foot deep coral to get to a 80...More

The family had their first ever scuba dive at Palolo Deep Marine Reserve. The marine life was beautiful and plentiful. We really enjoyed the experience, so close to the heart of Apia. Facilities rudimentary typical of Samoa.

We spent an hour here today. The welcome is nothing special but after paying 5 tala and walking out for five minutes into the shallow waters we found the drop off and lots of beautiful fish and coral. Right on the edge of town so...More

They just rent out snorkelling gear - take your own food and drinks - lovely spots to picnic under shade. I think entry was about 5 Samoan tala or maybe 10 but terrific value. Saw loads of fabulous fish. Suggest one hour... More
