We work with small groups of up to 18 passengers in a familiar and friendly environment with the company of professional Spanish and English speaking guides.
The excursions are carried out with the "KAMS and" TELIENKA "yachts, twin vessels of 15 meters in length, which due to their dimensions allow a maximum approach to the islands allowing preferential sightings.
During our tour we visit Isla Alicia, Isla de Pájaros and Isla de Lobos, where we make very close sightings of the fauna of the Beagle Channel. We know the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse built in 1919, a true emblem of the City of Ushuaia. At the end, we disembark at Bridges Island to walk a path of interpretation of flora and birds, telling the story of the Yámanas aborigines. Here are the largest Yámana anthropogenic shells in the region.
It also has a panoramic point from where we can observe the magnificence of the Beagle Channel with the City of Ushuaia in the distance.

My dream came true in this amazing island. I would have spent an entire day admiring the penguins in their natural habitat. If you are lucky, biologists will be among you and you can gain so much knowledge about penguins in so little time. Magellano, gentoo and king penguins seem to be the native species that come to Martillo every year for the reproduction. So many emotions seeing them in real life..

You cannot visit Ushuaia without a tour to Martillo Island (Isla Martillo) for the Ushuaia Penguin tour. Many places in town organise the Ushuaia penguin tour. But we can highly recommend Piratour Travel as a reputable and fantastic company. They have bilingual guides and top notch facilities. Although $165USD (plus $40ARS/ $0.65USD port fees) isn’t cheap, the boat tour was incredible. Included is a visit of sea lions, the Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, a basic but interesting wildlife museum and of course, the main attraction – Isla Martillo. This is where you get to walk with penguins! Seeing Gentoo and Magellanic penguins is assured but we were even lucky enough to see a solo King Penguin. It was actually lost and shouldn't have been there. So we were actually stoked it got lost.

My husband and I went to Ushuaia as part of our 20 day tour to the Patagonia. The last stop was the famous Southernmost city of Ushuaia. We went to the tourism office and they recommended Piratour which is the only company authorized to have "walking with the penguins" on this Island "Isla Martillo". We got on the bus at 7:30am and first took an hour drive, and then we were divided into two groups. The tour guide led us to a small boat. We were driven to this small island where thousands of penguins are. We saw many penguins in couples digging holds to incubate their eggs. They are so cute, esp when they walk around. But we did not see the King Penguins, unfortunately this year, the King penguins left the island early ... But we took excellent photos. We also love the museum of Marine mammals that were discovered around the islands of Ushuaia, established by an American scientist, learned a lot about the differences between different species. On our way back, we saw many sea lions on another island. Overall, an amazing tour, total worth it! Highly recommend it to anyone coming to Ushuaia, Argentina!

The tour was exclusively operated by Piratour. The guide speaks good english, and they were very strict with getting near the penguins. I felt like they take their jobs seriously, and at the same time still let us enjoy our time with the penguins. I also appreciated the visit to the museum, and a short stop to these unique trees that face the right!
