This quaint train comes complete with one of the nicest stations and the idea of having a midpoint stop was brilliant. The dialogue, while enroute, on a very good speaker system was exemplary. Very informative.

Lame. Boring. Quite frankly, a joke. Unless you buy the premium ticket, which we thought we did but there was some mixup lost in translation, the tourist cars are tight and just a waste of time.

Charges for this train ride are USD 45 per person. The train itself is authentic and nice but the ride is ridiculous. One of the selling points is that it stops at a waterfall where you can get out. The waterfall is very small and not interesting. The whole ride is a tourist trap and extremely expensive. Should not have... More

Don't bother. It's expensive, poorly organized, crowded and the train ride itself is boring and takes way too long. Visit the park, skip this tourist trap.

This could be a great visit, but its not. The old steam train rattles through countryside were the convicts had a jail and they cleared trees in the valley the train drives through. It took about 2 hours for the round trip and we saw very little. Having said that the entrain guides are great and if you could spend... More

Checked this out and at 690 pesos each decided it is way over priced. More enjoyable staying with our small tour coach and visiting beautiful spot on way up to park. Interesting to see the train and some of the historical photos at the station but not worth taking the train.

This is probably a 2.5 as its not poor, just not as good as its potential. Having said this the company that runs the train have done a fantastic job in resurrecting the train and line, preserving a small part of the local history. The tour follows the history of prisoners of the initial Ushuaia colony and their trip to... More

This is the old prisoner train revamped into a tourist attraction. That is a grim reminder of human nature and history. It tracks lakes, forests, waterfalls showing beauty and occasionally natural devastation. Historically interesting. Worth doing once.

This was the biggest waste of money that we spent on a shore excursion from our cruise. Not only is this a kiddie train but there is nothing of interest to see along the way. They let us off to view a nonexistent waterfall after walking up a bunch of steps. The narrative was taped and was equally boring. You... More

The little steam train was only a short trip but the scenery along the way was magnificent and I really enjoyed the experience.
