A prominent building right behind the main city pier. This is the mansion of the Governor of the province. Good for a photo, along has information on Evita Peron.

An annex of the Museo del Fin del Mundo, this is the old government house, and the main features of interest are the old legislative meeting room and the collection of maps of Tierra Del Fuego.

Wow- both museums others are talking about (this and End of the World) were free entry when I visited (January 2018). This is a very small museum, as is the other one. Not much there really just some old furniture and some histoyr of Ushuaia. I'm glad I didn't pay to go in. The garden next door is quite lovely with flowering poppies.…

Had to pay for the entry for this museum which only had 2 rooms. Very disappointing plus no evplanations in English, only Spanish. No concessions for European pensioners!!

We visited here the day before we left for Antarctica and learned a great deal about the early history of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego. The ticket we purchased at the End of the World Museum got us in here too.
