The Beagle Channel is a gorgeous peaceful body of water that is the perfect place to begin and end an Antarctica expedition. My wife and I boarded our expedition ship while our ship was docked in Beagle Channel on a beautiful February day. Before we set sail, we had great views of this beautiful channel. The waters were calm and the horizon towards Antarctica seemed to be endless. Once we set sail the waters remained calm and formed a gorgeous vision with Ushuaia in the background. We really appreciated the calmness once we were sailing in the notorious Drake Passage! As we returned to Ushuaia after an amazing expedition, the calm waters of the Beagle Channel welcomed us and let us know that this part of our journey was nearing its end.…

Sailed along the Beagle Channel twice and it was breathtaking. Saw many types of birds, including penguins, and of course the landscape is gobsmacking.

We flew into the Canal descending in thick cloud to suddenly see this magnitude and magnificent place. The pictures say it all.
