Visited these lakes as part of an organised tour; most of the emphasis was on Lake Escondido. Great scenic views from strategic lookouts. Amazing how colours change when different cloud formations obscure the sun. Southern beech seems to be the dominant tree in the area....More
Lago Escondido is an amazing place to visit. At Arakur Hotel ask for a taxi driver called "Castor". He will take you to the best places to visit and recommend nice walking paths. The different views of the lake are great. Unique colours as the...More
Incredible view of the Fagnano lake, with a stop of an hour on the round multicolour small stones beach, with an amazing view of the mountains that surround it. Place with a small place with snacks, drinks, coffee and toilets.

There's a good view of both lakes from the mirador. We got there by a 4x4 tour with guides from an agency that our hotel recommended.
This fantastic 4x4 vehicle excursion, that takes you where buses and common cars won't go, includes rowing at Lake Escondido, a 4th 'dive' into Lake Fagnano, and ends up with a parrilla prepared by the group of friendly and efficient guides of Nunatak tours.
