This swiss like city center is nice and cozy. There are always many tourists gathered there. Personally, the main attraction in this place are the saint bernards, which you can pet and have a picture with. The only thing is that you have to pay...More

We spent 5 days in Bariloche and loved wandering her streets. The architecture, boutique shops, lovely restaurants, and history all made for a lovely visit. The names painted around the statue in the square are in remembrance of those who disappeared during the last dictatorship...sobering.

Got to visit just before heading to the airport. Seemed like an event was being prepared for, the plaza was off limits and being set up and some other construction was underway as well. Lots of shopping and food available as well. Wish I had...More

The square in the middle allows you to see all these magnificent place and stone buildings. Usually you will meet the popular bandurrias (a black ibis). Facing the Nahuel Huapi lake is the most popular place to go in Bariloche. In good days you get...More

A pretty place that looked a bit like a little Swiss town. Very easy to walk around and has many shops and restaurants. There are money changers too. We were lucky they were having some carnival and hence we got to see the locals celebrating.

I agree with an earlier Reviewer — this otherwise lovely city location is in need of cleaning, perhaps Restoration would be a more fitting word for what needs attention. Why they would allow or tolerate folks painting their names and dates on the stones that...More

We were there 28 years ago and this place of the city was a must to visit. Nowadays the beautiful stone and wood buildings are spoiled by graffiti and poor maintenance. Even the stones that pave this area are all written over. The whole area...More

The civic center is, well, centrally located, which is nice, and the tourist office there has heaps of helpful info. There's also a library, which I wanted to visit, but unfortunately it was closed for a few weeks for some reason or another. You can...More

The main downtown area in Bariloche is filled with shops, restaurants and of course, chocolate shops... the village is under construction and can stand to be updated. FYI. there is no Starbucks in this town!!!
