This is really worth doing. You can hike up from the bottom of catedral or take the gondola/chairlift up and hike from there. Depends how long You want to hike versus admiring the scenery and taking in some food at the chalets on mountain etc. all are fantastic. I highly recommend going all the way to the top. The view... We rode all the way to top it was a lot of fun. First to ride in a gondola and then a chair lift. On a clear day it is more than worth it go

This was one of several tours our travel agency booked for our stay in Bariloche. Obviously, this is for going up the mountain. Everyone in our group was retirement age, except for a young couple. They were the only ones that ventured up & returned over 2 hours later. So the rest of us just sat around. The ride is... More

This trip to Bariloche had been more than a year in planning and hiking any of the trails at Catedral was high on our list of things to do. We managed to get there one morning and rode the Gondola and then ski lift to the upper lodge. From there we hiked maybe a mile in distance to the ridge... More

Went in summer, no ski activities, but trekking and bike. You have to take a cableway, then chairlift to get close to the top. Then you have a mid difficult trekking line to get to the top and enjoy one of the best views of the surroundings you can get at Bariloche. Don´t miss this!

Beautiful view at the top with lots of fun hiking! There was a restaurant near the top. They had a climbing wall for the children. Also saw Zip Lining!

The resort has most everything you need: pharmacy, cafe, food and shops. We took the lift up to hike into The Frey from the top of the mountain. There is a nice restaurant at the top with a comfy lounge, food, deck and restrooms. Great place to launch our climbing/hiking adventure from.

My husband and I visited the ski area in the summer. Some shops at the base area were open. We took two lifts to a view area and then down to a mid mountain restaurant. I was worth visiting for the stunning scenery.

We arrived quite late in the season but it worth it! Cerro catedral has a magnificent view to a both Nahuel Huapi and Gutierrez lakes. AMAZING. The snow wasn't very good anymore but it gave us the feeling of how's to ski in the area. 85% of the lifts were closed already but still we had fun. The ski center... More
