This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places that I have seen in my life. The air is so pure, the water of lake Lacar is so magic, almost dreamed. I had the opportunity to swim here, and even tough water is very cold, it was fantastic! Winter is a great season to visit this place, the temperature is between fresh and warm, all the roses in the city are flowered. I think that one of the most exciting and tiring things you can do here, is walk from the city to "Playa bonita". You can be almost an hour walking until you arrive, but the view there is fantastic. I'm sure I'm coming back whenever I can!

The location is ok. Please note you have to pay to access the beach. The beach was rocks and not what I was expecting. I would not go back considering the drive and having to pay to access the beach and waterfall.

We had wanted to do the longer boat-trip along the whole lake but that was booked and so we caught the first boat (10:00) to Quila Quina and were glad that we had as it filled up later. We were able to get away from other people by walking to a nearby waterfall, which was very cool and relaxing. The waterfall is ‘run’ by a local tribe who charge a small amount for the visit. Watch out for parakeets nesting in the dead trees.

I really loved this place near San Martin de los Andes, just about 20 km from the town, you can go by car or boat . the beach is great, with trees nearby so you can enjoy sun and also some shadow. If you like to do some exercise there is kayak and canoes rental. There is a restaurant to have lunch or some snacks.
