Puerto Madryn is beautiful, you have a great warm weather (in the southern hemisphere's summertime), and you get amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean from top cliffs. Given its proximity to colder weather you can also see wild animals as is the case of for...More

Did an NCL Tour that included the Punta Loma Reserve. The viewing area is atop a cliff overlooking the Sea Lion beach. This is an easy way to see the Sea Lions in action, they were out in the water and wondedring on the beach....More

Went as part of a tour, snorkeling not included, didn't see how you would do this. The view from the cliffs wad ok for a while, limited walking - certainly not worth going a long way out of the way unless you've never seen sea...More

We cycled here which on reflection wasn't the best idea. Its only 17km out of Puerto Madryn but about half of that is on a gravel road that is much better suited to quad bikes than bicycles. There's also quite a lot of traffic on...More

Awesome experience! Snorkeling with sea lions was awesome! Just as a quick comment, if you have never scuba-dived, do not make this your first scuba-diving experience. Stick to snorkeling!

As soon as we got off the car, the "ranger" approached us to welcome us and explain what we would see... The place is spotless nature and very emotional.

Do you know the name of the tour operator on the pier that offered this tour? It is exactly what I want to do. Do I need to book in advance? Do they operate year 'round? I will be there in January, 2017

I did the tour with Master Divers. I'm not sure they operate year round, but they have a Facebook page, maybe you can ask them there. But that's for diving or snorkeling with the sea lions. I did all of my other tours with... More
