Keeping the beauty of Nature Present
Feb 2020 • Couples
We were very impressed our first visit to this Plaza, thus it was a joy to return and enter it again. What the plaza misses in size it make up for that and more with the beautiful arrangement of the trees, the open spaces, the sitting, the fountains and a rather large Center piece statue of the General. Albeit I give equal value to how the otherwise ‘dead’ trees have be given another life with those lovely carvings, my favourite being the one with the Condor wrapped around its base area and topped off with grape vines. A joy to be back. Kudos to the City.

Raising the Bar of For Exceptional Parks.

A visit to San Rafael is incomplete if you wish to,be able to assert you “visited” the city. While not a particularly large plaza as you will find in cities in South America this has been one of that reflects a connection we all have with nature. The fountains here blend in so well with the trees. Not to be missed is the use to which some of the older and dead trees have be given Life Anew in the sculptures you will see, and several other trees are no doubt in the ‘transition ‘ stage. Be impressed visit this space. Pics uploaded via mobile route.

Cleaned and Tidy
Feb 2019 • Couples
This is a great little park close to the center of San Rafael. We stayed out in the country, but would stay in town next time. The town is clean, vibrant, and very appealing. Lots of restaurants and shopping, and close to wineries and the canyon. This park is beautiful, with lovely carved totem poles being the center of attraction. Well done.

Exceptionally Beautiful Park
Feb 2018 • Couples
While not a big Plaza as they can be found in South America, it is very well laid out, very clean and the. Benches made of wood are some of the cleaner we have seen. The statute of Gen Martin takes center stage with wide tiled openings in 4 directions. Not to be missed , indeed cannot imagine how one would, are the stunning sculptures that have been created out of 3-4 trees. Wonderful way to bring otherwise dead trees to life. Do visit this lovely Plaza.

A beautiful large park in the center of down town. recently re-modeled. Quiet and peaceful in the day time. A lovely place to sit and rest. At night there are many concerts and events going on.

Nice plaza
Mar 2017 • Couples
Very nice plaza with plenty of shady benches plus some interesting sculptures to have a look at. Fountains were out of action when we there but there's nice grassy spots as well. Plus a water fountain!

As Plazas go, this one is above average
Jan 2016
Above average because is it kept clean and is a pleasant short walk. Everybody in plazas enjoy ¨people spotting¨ and this one is no exception! Nice trees and the odd musician or mini show should keep you entertained for half hour or more.

Picnic in the park
Feb 2015
San Rafael is already a beautiful place in the south of the Mendoza Province. This park is in memory of General San Martin who fought for the county's independence. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day.
