This place is one of the most beautiful of Mendoza. If you are lazy about walking, dont be , because it worthwhile every step inside Aconcagua park. In 2 hours walking you reach the river and the view breathtaking!

We hired a driver who took us up the highway to Chile....pass the dam and water supply for the providence. Frozen bridge and the entrance to the national park & the climb to the highest peak in the Andes. IF you enjoy the outdoors and beautiful views...this is for you

The day trip to Aconcagua park is highly recommendable during your stay in Mendoza. I took an excursion with a local tourist company ( the name is Turismo el cristo) that is ok, you will be lucky if your guide is professional otherwise you will need to learn from your own. The views are amazing and the mountains are truly... More

We went up to Aconcagua Park as part of a full day high country tour. It's spectacular countryside and only minutes from the Chilean border. Recommend you do this as part of a tour. Check out "Mendoza Andes" under 'Tours' in the Things to do near Mendoza section.

This is a must see on your visit to Mendoza! Striking scenery and good hiking. One can take a range of tour options or rent a car. We took a small van tour with Trout and Wine which was perfect as the guide provided great facts and info and the driver was experienced which is helpful on the roadway. The... More

The park is quite nice. Entrance fee is only 20 pesos each. Somewhere I read they take US money for the fee, but they do not, so be use you have pesos. The parkng area is about a mile and a quarter from the park entrance where you pay the fees. That part is fairly steep. From the parking area,... More

Great mountain and easy to get to. You have to rent a car in Mendoza, but the drive is easy and the roads are in good shape. There is some truck traffic on the road though.

Even though there was a four hour bus trip one way to get here it was well worth the time. I was not dressed properly for the visit and it was very windy. But I was able to walk to the lookout point to see Aconcagua. If you only want to go to the lookout point and hike some of... More

Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside the Himalayas and beautiful to boot. We only did a short circuit walk but it hard brilliant views of the mountain. We went with a tour which I would recommend rather than spending 3hrs on a local bus to get there as the walk is only an hour at most. We had wanted to... More
