Nice place

We were there with nice to see the "lobos marinos" and the fishing ships is a nice picture. There is not a lot to do there but half an hour tour is nice.

The harbor is as it looks in the pictures, orange ships coming back from the fishing expedition plus a nice central road with nice stores. And you can eat fantastic food in very informal places by the harbor! worth an half day trip (2 hours without lunch)

The end of the port area is where the sea wolves hang out on the cement and are joined by the local dogs. It is also the dock for fishing boats. On boat cam in with a good load of fish and a 1.5 meter shark. The former were still alive and on their way to the market. There ar... More

This wasn't worth the cab ride from downtown Mar del Plata. The boats and sea lions are what you would expect, smell and all. It's a working port so expect for a few run down souvenir stands, it's not really set up for tourists. You can get fresh seafood. There is a decent beach, but you have to walk through... More

Very nice place to visit and watch the local fishermen bring in their daily catch. However, the smell was very very strong and it was difficult to stay for any length of time. Even from the main road the smell was too strong to stay for any length of time.

Nice for a visit in a cloudy day and also if you stay in Mar del Plata in a place with kitchen, so you can buy seafood.

It was nice, longtime ago, to visit the port, see the boats unloading the catch. Now they only have an are with not quite good restaurants, with street vendors pushing you.

There is a nice walkaway if you want to walk or run without actually being on the beach, but it is nothing to really write home about as there is nothing really caractheristic. However if you are searching for nightlife there are lots of nice places to have a drink, but you'll have to wait for 3 am in order... More

A bit difficult to find. Take the road that parallels the ocean and follow the signs....turn left once you see the YPF tank and the wharf is a block away. The site of the boats is a must for any visit.
