Show is good. Food not so much.

As a restaurant I would not recommend. If you are looking for a good tango show plus something to eat then go for it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tango show and dinner at El Querandi. The place was very intimate yet relaxed, and the meal was of good quality. The show was excellent. The stage is very close and so you get a real intimate feel for the dancing. We are usually not that fond of the singing part of a tango show but... More

The food was very good, wine was included as well as soda (my 10 year old also attended) and the service was superb! Luis our waiter was so great, especially with my son. The musicians were excellent and the dancers very good. There are two singers. The oldest man was amazing. So much passion!! I highly recommend the show.

Great tango show showing the development of and different types of Tango through the years in chronological order. The performers were great and the musicians were magnificent. Dinner involved choices of starter, Main and dessert with over 8 choices per category. Dinner was nice, tasty food, but not anywhere near degustation or Michelin quality.

I guess you do not visit Buenos Aires and forget to attend a tango dance show. It was one of our priorities and arranged through a local agent; dinner followed by the show. Excellent menu offerings; selection of 9 starters, 9 mains and 8 desserts. One of each with bottle of wine per person. Sparkling or mineral water also on... More

A must do in BA. Worth the price as the food is awesome! The tango show is good as well. Instant dinner booking confirmation coupled with transfer to and fro hotel and El Querandi. :)

Loved watching the show with fabulous dancers and a truly incredible orchestra! The musical talent was fantastic and seeing how tango has progressed throughout the years was a treat! Great show to get a flavour of Argentinian tango!

If you like Tango you will probably enjoy this show. See the dances of Tango from its origins in the late 19th century, with a beautifully executed musical ensemble. I personally don't care about this music but for those that do I can understand how it would be a good evening out. We did not eat here but a bottle... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
