As tourists to Buenos Aires, we didn't want to go to the heavily marketed tango shows that seemed to combine questionable food and high prices. A friend from Buenos Aires suggested this place as a good neighborhood place where the locals just go to tango. None of us are night owls, and we did go on a Sunday night. So... More

When I walked in, honestly, I was not sure what to expect. This place has character! I had a fantastic tango lesson by Matias, who is a very good instructor, handsome, funny and very good at teaching the nuance of the dance. Because I came solo, Matias summoned a fellow from a more advanced stage to dance with me, a... More

A really cool place to go and checkout if you are after a cheap alternative for seeing a tango show. We went on a Wednesday night and it was 80 peso entry each and there was plenty of tables to sit down at. The lessons were just finishing up at 11 and then it seemed like the floor is open... More

Great place for dinner, a tango lesson, and a chance to watch some tango by Argentine locals. It's not as slick or professional as some of the shows, but it felt more authentic and real. Plus it is a lot cheaper (about a quarter of the price when compared to the big shows, including transport/dinner/lesson/show). Most of the people taking... More

Great night out! Tango lesson was great fun, beers were reasonable. Was recommended this place if we wanted to see 'real tango' rather than a touristic show. Plenty of dancing opportunities after the class also as the locals are more than willing to guide you! The place isn't the cleanest but I guess this adds a bit of character!

We went to learn some tango, had some beers, and danced more tango. The venue is really cool and quirky. The staff are nice, and the music is cool.

No way, the best in town, for drinking, eating watching and tango lessons and Milonga. It is a bit touristic but not that much and the place in itself is amazing. Not to miss!

lovely old location, a bit like in 68, where yo can learn tango ir watch people learning, and as of 11 pm milonga time brings the crowd on the floor. if you are lucky, senior musicians start singing, together with young super performers on the guitar... if you want tango rooted in life, dont miss catedral!

It was Tuesday. Supposed to be very busy according to other reviews. But it was not. Many tables remained empty until 2am when we left. Maybe because of strong rain outside. We enjoyed the informal atmosphere, music and the dancing couples. Don't expect fancy place; this is not! But try to be a part of this atmosphere and you will... More

We rolled in here too late (14:30) to get the best Tango watching experience but were still blown away by the scene. It's a huge venue full of locals, and legit Tango dancers. The band was incredible and bartenders very friendly. The location is a bit off the beaten path and it may be tough to get a taxi home... More
