Neighbourhood: Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

I looked for a nice spa in Buenos Aires for a while, on almost every corner there is an esthetic place of some sort. Most of them however smell like wax, or are just unappealing. The Ser Spa is spa all the way. Fact, most of the treatments are twice the price they would be somewhere else, but..... Here is a but....every one hour treatment comes with 30 min of jacuzzi, steam room before hand, and after treatment you are welcome to use the relaxation area where you lay in a bed, sip on tea, snooze or read magazines, and during warmer days you can use the patio. I ended up staying almost three hours, but paid for one hour treatment. The experience from the start is high class - your own robe, juice, towel etc. Personnel is soft spoken, and attentive. I did my "homework" well and visited almost every room in the spa, and all of them are fully professional and relaxing. The spa also has a gym and offers regular fitness membership. On the day of my visit I had received massage, and was very happy with the treatment. For the next visit I am taking my husband as men are welcome too and are able to use jacuzzi as well. We are making out of it couples' mini getaway.
