We went for the option of wine tasting beforehand over the tango class. For a few extra dollars we were able to sample a white, a red and a sparkling wine from the Mendoza region. The lovely Pedro offered us a great introductory insight into wine tasting. The wine tasting was followed by a 3 course dinner where there are... More

I was struggling to find a place not touristic as per it was my first time in Buenos Aires. I booked the show only which includes transfer with return from the hotel for 70$USD And a bottle of wine( do not expect fine wine).. but don't worry you have a lot of options at a la carte menu! The show... More

This show was part of a cruise excursion. Everything about it was excellent. We enjoyed the food and we had choices, which you sometimes don't on an excursion. The musicians were very accomplished and the singers and dancers were remarkable. The finale of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" sent chills down my spine. The dancers even posed for photos afterwards.... More

Went here with show-only seats (without the dinner). Free bottle of wine with the ticket. The band and music were absolutely SUPERB!!!! and so was the singing (especially the female singer). Beautiful introduction to tango music as well as native/gaucho music. The gaucho performance was excellent!!! Tango dancers were great too but a little hard to see the footwork due... More

Went for dinner with a large group and loved the venue, the decor and ambience, great food and an absolutely wonderful show. I'd rate the show 12/10 it was so good! But the waiters we dealt with were woeful. They quickly take your order for meal and drinks.......then nothing for ages. No drinks arrived until after we had asked several... More

Our travel group was sent to this place for a tango show and dinner. The show was presented on a stage at one end of the restaurant, and in front of the stage were rows of tables set closely together. There were levels within the room so that people could see the stage from their various tables, but the room... More

We went as a group and enjoyed a tango lesson upstairs before dinner. Was a little disappointed as we only learned two basic steps (not any of the fancy flicks or turns) instructors spoke English and were very nice. Headed to dinner and we're met with guys taking posed photos they later want to sell to you. For dinner, we... More

We booked with a small group and this exceeded our expectations. The dinner was excellent with tender steak, tasty empanadas and an amazing warm pancake topped with caramel. The show was well done with incredible costumes and a fabulous show. They were organized and the service for us was adequate.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
