This is a "new" part of Buenos Aires city, love the modern arquitecture, restaurants, night clubs and venues. This is a nice place to visit and do some sightseeing. You have the famous bridge called "Puente de la mujer" and two army boats (fragatas). So don't miss this place, oh and the restaurant "Siga la Vaca" is located there.

Great places for all types of eats, happy hour, ice cream, etc. It is a touristy area but many of the restaurants are top notch.

Previously it was a site of a failed port that lasted only for 15 years now it has some of the best cafes and restaurants located along the riverbank

It is pleasant during the day or early in the evening. Nice restaurants along the way and many opportunities for a coffee and desert or ice-cream. Plus, enjoy the view and the people. Careful with your objects. It is safe, but not robbery proof if you do not pay attention on your purse, phone or camera. There is an old... More

Puerto Madero is a fun place to meet friends for dinner and depending on weather, beautiful to walk around and enjoy the breeze and maybe some ice cream from Freddo. For me this was not a must visit, but something to enjoy if you have the time.

Great area to walk around and take in some great scenery of a revived barrio in Buenos Aires. There are a variety of restaurants - suggestion - don't go too cheap. The quality of food and service will drop as the price of the menu drops! Good day or night!

The woman's bridge is beautiful at night. As a solo, woman traveler this was an area that a local co-worker said would be safe. I grabbed a taxi from my hotel and was dropped off at the woman's bridge at 9pm. This was the perfect time. I got into a nice restaurant early before the mad rush about 9:30pm. I... More

This hotel has no faults and does everything it says on the label. However, it is in the brand new extension to Buenos Aires city centre. Consequently, it is concrete and glass and not stone and tango. A long walk - not recommended in the dark - From the tourist highlights but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Make sure you... More

So different from the rest. Sky scrappers Modern architecture, different vibes. Nice walk to get out of the crowd and see something different then the cobbled stone paths or the busy streets.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
