The area
Neighbourhood: San Nicolás
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub and migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theatre lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. Don Quixote in black and white
Mar 2019 • Couples
Located on the edge of the main avenue this sculpture is a little unique in that the bodies of the subjects are partially encased in the stonework, and appear to emerge from the same. This forms a black and white contrast between the subject and the stone, best viewed from the front.

Monument on a busy avenue

Don Quijote Monument is located along the busy Avenidas de Mayo. Just a photo stop for visitors while traveling around that area.

A photo op . . . Buenos Aires is a tourist’s haven for photo ops beside monuments and statues
Mar 2018 • Friends
This bronze monument is located at the busy intersection of Avenidas de Mayo and 9 de Julio. Although this sculpture of anti-hero Don Quixote is nice, I would go out of my way to see it. However, if you are nearby, and looking for photo ops, you could take you photos by this monument, and nearby photo ops such as the ionic concrete obelisk on Avenida 9 de Julio, some of the historic buildings on Av. De Mayo, and the many comic type statues on Av. Corrientes.

I’ll attach ten photos of the monument.

See it if you're in the neighborhood- not worth the trip on its own-
Situated in a chaotic and busy intersection this monument is more of an afterthought. I can actually see it from my hotel room and I don't think I've seen anyone visit it. It's underwhelming even further compared to the amazing architecture in the sorrounding neighborhoods. This is not worth visiting on its own- if you're around swing by and judge for yourself, it's free.
