The exclusive winery of Peter Falke is nestled against the majestic slopes of the Helderberg mountains in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands, South Africa. Groenvlei Farm is home to rambling magenta bougainvillea, delicate scented roses and wild lavender growing alongside carefully cultivated vineyards. Dating back to the 18th century, the traditional gabled Cape Dutch buildings of the wine estate belie a contrasting modernity within. The stately old homestead is partnered by a "boutique" winery, contemporary wine tasting room and luxurious outdoor lounge which have established Peter Falke Wines as the most elegant and serene sundowner retreat in the winelands. Owner Peter Falke and his better half, Daniele Gortz, invite you to enjoy the exceptional wines that reflect their lifestyle, cultures and personalities.

Went for the wine tasting with my wife. Fount the farm to be really nice. They have lovely cut grass for picnics. Good food and friendly staff. The wine was also good that we tried.

A great location to meet friends and just chill. The views are breathtaking. It is a wine estate so don't expect to find beers or ciders on the menu. The nachos are filling and delicious. A popular winery so arrive early or make a reservation.

The best nachos in Cape Town, probably the best views too... A relaxing, magical ambience. A lovely picnic spot and children friendly too.

Just salads, charcuterie and cheese platters and wine. Simple but fresh tasty salads and and an excellent selection of fine charcuterie and cheeses tastefully and elegantly served. We tasted a superbly fresh Sauvignon blanc but settled for a glass each of an elegant red blend...More

Glad we popped, had two very well presented platters of cheese and meats. Wines were not to my taste, but the setting is lovely. Not the friendliest staff I have encountered and painfully slow if you just doing snacks and tastings - and want to...More
