The gardens are impressive, especially in springtime when everything is blooming. You will see students chilling out, some engrossed in reading. You will see garden enthusiasts enjoying the flowers and greenery. You will see photographers capturing the beauty. Don't miss it.

Absolute peace and quiet amongst amazing vegetation in the heart of this buzzling town. Walking distance from the busy town centre, you'll think you're in the middle of a forest. Don't miss the bonsais. Try the tea and scones

Excellent place for a quiet lunch in between the beautiful gardens. It is a bit hidden, so you need to find a gate to get in - worth the adventure.

The gardens are amazingly peaceful given their relatively small size. R10 was a pleasure to pay as a contribution. The fabulous bonsai trees were a surprise. Definitely worth a stroll through this pocket of tranquility in the middle of the town.

If you don’t have a local student card, you can pay 10 rands to visit the garden, which has a beautiful bonsai garden and a very pleasant cafe.

A small garden but totally worth the R10, in particular, due to their bonsai collection and also other local plants as well as a restaurant nicely placed within the garden.

We stumbled across the garden during a walkabout of the town and spent almost an hour in it, enjoying the many native and exotic plants that it housed. Not to be missed.

The Botanical Garden is easy accessible in town and offers within an hours walk a unique colection of all kind of regional old trees, plants and flowers. A very inspiring experience.
