This is a lovely Sanparks reserve on the Goukamma river at its entry to the sea at Buffalo Bay. This is a very pleasant spot for a picnic, or for canoeing, although the 2017 fires have caused some damage to the accommodation units. Mole rats...More

Ideally suited for the fit and restless, this is one spot that is irresistible and you'll struggle to turn back. The desolation of this reserve is part of it's appeal.

We were blessed to be able to stay on the reserve for a number of nights and walked a number of the shorter trails. Despite being so close to civilisation Goukamma gives you the impression of being a million miles away. The bird life is...More

Entrance is cheap and when we were there, there were only two other visitors. So that is great. To get to the main hiking area and the beach we had to cross a river via a boat. That was fun.. and wet. We spent a...More

The coast line is very good looking and has plenty space on the sand, however, parking is quite limited. Restaurant and other shops close by, in case you forgot to purchase a towel or umbrella etc.

This is a must if you like peace and tranquility. We stayed at Fish Eagle loft in the Goukamma Nature Reserve. This overlooks the river to where it meets the sea. We virtually had the game reserve to ourselves apart from the birds and tortoise....More

The standard of the cottages here is great. The one we stayed in had two double rooms, and open plan lounge with a small kitchen area, and a great barbeque area outside overlooking the lagoon and the beach in the distance. At dusk you see...More

An incredibly beautiful place. The beach is kind of windy, but the water is as blue as the sky and it is a lovely place to take a stroll by the beach or in the forest

I am not sure if you are allowed to take pets in. Your best bet would be to phone them and ask directly.
