We took this cruise in the evening. It has a restaurant attached to it but we did not use it. We went on the upper deck and enjoyed the view and weather. The boat is pretty steady.

The woman and man upstairs who are attendants upstairs are so not well-educated. They talk to us with snobbish attitude and threw the menu on the table. Everything they are talking privately are involved with racial discrimination to Asian people. That is definitely the worst...More

Being on time is the key. Sit on the upper deck. As it grows dark, find a place inside. Food is not great, drinks are ok. Service takes a bit. But if one clubs this with a dinner at the waterfront, worth the time.

Really underwhelming. The good thing is that the boat is very steady so if you have motion sickness from the rocking of the boat, you probably won't experience it on this one. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. The food is located downstairs. Our...More

I loved the John Benn cruise. It was relaxing and the food was great. The staff were friendly and the sights were lovely. It's not a fast adventure boat but a relaxing floating restaurant. I will definitely go on the cruise again.

Waterfront place is very good, once can spend time in walking/drink / dinner. Best place for all class of people within budget. I personally did not life ferry experience.

Lovely cruise along the Knysna Lagoon. Staff friendly and helpful and tour was not rushed. Lots of birdlife to enjoy and glorious scenery.

Good way to see the heads of Knysna and Sunset. But gets little boring after a while. The staffs are very friendly. Very limited options for vegetarians.

A fantastic way to spend an hour and a half on the water! You can eat in the restaurant on board or just buy drinks from the bar and take in the ambience as you sail along.

Hi Ria. We paid R190 per person for the cruise, and then we paid another R300 or so for our meals and drinks.
