Brenton-on-Sea is great for walking and sunbathing and is popular with paragliders. A big rock formation, castle Rock, is a favourite fishing spot for locals. Swimming is dangerous because of rip currents.

The beach and associated views from upon high are quite spectacular, but that's about it. There's nothing much else here apart from a chic hotel. We had tea at the hotel, but can't say we'd go out of our way to come back.

Beautiful beach....great views. If u looking for a quiet chill away from the noisiness of the city this is it. You can read a book or drink by one of the restaurants at the top of the cliff. Not much else though...throwback to the old days i guess

Brenton on Sea is a little gem, hidden away from the N2. You need to make time to visit this beautiful beach.

We visited Brenton on Sea during our stay in the Plettenberg Bay area. The road up to Brenton has stopping places that give wonderful views back over the lagoon towards Knysna. You then drop down on the seaward side of the hill into sleepy Brenton, where you will find ample free parking above the path leading down onto the splendid... More

Absolutely stunning views but beware of the current. Beach fantastic and hotel, restaurant and café at the top of the hill - lovely food.

We drove over to the other side of Knysna Heads and ended up at Brenton on Sea. Ready made holiday homes there but very little else other than a hotel and a cafe. Views were stunning very rough waters and a steep walk down to the beach.

This place has amazing views from the top and beautiful beach and rock pools.Suggest rock shoes if you enjoy walking on the rocks to explore pools. Also half way back up the hill is a place called fisherman's walk which is a path along the top of the cliff with AWESOME views.

Mainly holiday lets on a promontary, leading down to large beach, with stunning views. Good car parking and toilets, but otherwise few facilities.
