Brenton-on-Sea is great for walking and sunbathing and is popular with paragliders. A big rock formation, castle Rock, is a favourite fishing spot for locals. Swimming is dangerous because of rip currents.

If you are a beach lover, this place will take your breath away! It is a long stretch of unspoilt beach, with beautiful rock areas to climb, and even downhill slopes to do some sandboarding on. It is wonderful for a nice long walk, or even just to take an umbrella and spend the day lazing about on the beach

Such an unspoilt area. Pure sands. An exhilarating walk along the beach blew the cobwebs away. Saw oystercatchers and jellyfish.....Wonderful location.

Fabulous beach away from all civilization.....except for a few B&B, and a couple of small restaurants. Just know there is a small parking lot with public toilets at the top and then a series boardwalk style ramps leading down to the beach. The beach is wide and beautiful, great for walking and exploring!

Such a wonderfully clean beach with amazing rock areas to climb onto and look out over the ocean. No disruption, wonderful pet presence. Awesome spot for some down time on the beach.

Spent an hour walking on the stunning beach last week. If I'd had more time, I would have loved to walk the entire length all the way to Buffalo Bay.

Make sure to head off the beaten track of only to take a walk along one of the hidden gems of the Garden Route. Stunning clean beach. You can see Buffalo Bay on a clear day from the top. Water is too cold for swimming though.

Second time I visited and stayed in Brenton on Sea. Last visited 14 years ago with my honeymoon. Again walked from Buffelsbay the +- 4.5 km white sand route. Always thought there are so many wild native buck walking around until this time when I stayed in Brenton on Lake. 5 minutes drive and you are in a different world.... More

A lovely, remote beach that offers beautiful views of the sea and surrounds. The waters are rather rough, so I had a quick dip and then read my book on the beach, which was very relaxing and enjoyable. I wouldn't swim here with small children, as the currents are quite strong and there are no lifeguards.
