Situated on Leisure Island and not far from the heads, Bollard Beach is an ideal swimming beach. White sand covered when high tide, there is a grass embankment and our children loved the swim here. There's water buoys showing boats can't come too close, and it's enjoyable to see all them going past in the distance. Free for anyone to... More

We are Knysna regulars and each trip try a new treat & this time it was Bollard Bay with our boys. We had fun taking snaps and walking along the beachfront, especially at Sunset. Awesome weather and lots of people, families came out to enjoy as well. A must to view the Knysna Heads...though be careful of tide in this... More

We stopped off at Bollard Beach for a walk and its gorgeous. Golden sand and white caps, you can walk for miles in relative peace and safety. Bathing is allowed and there are rocks for the kids to clamber over and explore. A lovely beach.

Located on Leisure Isle facing the Heads the beach is ideal for young and old. No toilets or restaurants at the beach so bring your own food and swim, relax and enjoy the view.

I really do like that there is a beach in Knysna but it does depend on the tides on how much beach :) You can have a dip in the lagoon but it never gets much higher than knee height. Great for families with little ones and the elderly. I never saw ablutions close to where we sat but lovely... More

Perhaps our favourite spot in Cape Province and the Garden Route. Scenically beautiful and, being situated on Leisure Island, which is entirely a retirement and holiday lodge area, is very, peaceful and quiet. The beach of Knysna lagoon is literally just across the road and dependent on the tide offers lovely walks. Only 10 minutes drive into Knysna and The... More

Great scenic views, cold, if a little chilly, swimming looking right through the Heads. Safe shallow waters.
