We were glad to see the houses along the street painted in their great colors but after a quick drive through, one doesn't really want to linger long - not much there and the neighborhood can get a bit dicey after sunset.

A walk through bo-kaap was included in our full-day walking tour. Just behind the colorful facades stands Table Mountain. Quite impressive. A nice slice of Cape Town history and culture.
