The beach is so nice. Probably one of the best in South Africa. I spent my last day in Clifton to relax. I really recommend everyone to come to this place. The Travel Channel has in fact included Clifton beach in the top20 Most Sexiest Beach in the World. Placing 13th.

By far one of the best beaches in all of South Africa. Park is a challenge band it is a fair walk down to the beach but once you on the beach there is little that can top it. Water is cold however there are freshwater showers available on all beaches. Does get busy over the summer months but is... More

Great beach with lots of sun during the day and free parking nearby ( Clifton 3 ). Not to busy there and mostly couples, obviously for Valentines, and still quite warm even after the sun goes down.

These are seriously enjoyable beaches and well worth the fight to find a parking space and make the steps down. Clifton 4 is the 'family' one - and is more sheltered than the others - and seems to have the most parking with some on the beach side of the main road and some on the other side. There are... More

Clifton 4th Beach is a gorgeous white-sand beach just 20 or so minutes from Gardens. Clifton 4th is the only non-nude beach of the Clifton Beaches, and so is more suitable for families and more conservative people. Cape Town's ocean is known for being icy cold and not the best to swim in and 4th Beach is no different from... More

Four great beaches with each one hosting a different great. Great white sand but very very cold and even for the quickest of swims you cannot stay in the water too long . Great vistas of the mountains behind the beaches and just a must to do .

Clifton beach remains one of the most beautiful beaches with soft white sand divided into 4 beaches by beautiful rock formations which allow one to walk to all four between the rocks. The beach is set down from the road with beautiful mountains behind and tasteful homes on the beach

only one beach in Cape Town: Clifton Beach: pearl grey sand, ice cold blue ocean water (ice cold too) AND serviced: get a chair, mattress and parasol (if you need to) for a very reasonable price ... and get the grenadilla lolly ... best beach treat EVER (really)
