Beautiful beach, not over developed

As beach locations go, this is pure style. Gorgeous setting, buzzy without being over crowded, a glamorous crowd without being pretentious. Would chose before camps bay any day

Its one of the Blue Flag beach in the world having soft white sand. We made a quick stop here for photos while on the way to Camps bay beach.

Definitely a very nice, romantic and warm vibe. Very good for surfers too. Amazing beach with the mountains on the background.

I was here when it was a little too windy to bask but it was indeed lovely to stroll along. You might want to bring a windbreaker on the off season.

My 4th visit to Cape Town and my 1st discovery of Clifton. A beautiful beach - we preferred number 3 over the others as it had the cleanest sand (4 had a lot of seaweed, but had lifeguards, whereas 2 was larger and more built up with apartments). It eclipsed Camps Bay in our opinion, which is saying something.

A must do. Beautiful beaches. Camps bay beach quite buzzy and busy. We ate in "paranga" a restaurant on the beach road. The views from the road are spectacular. The open top bus stops there . Well worth a trip

Climbing down any of the stairways to the beach is well worth the effort to get to this almost private little beach! It is well sheltered from the normal Cape Winds and is quite a sun trap!

Four to choose between however on the Atlantic side so very cold but for a Swede no problem. Suggest beach no 4 with a nice restaurant close by.

We walked from our hotel in sea point all the way along the coastline, through Clifton and camps bay beaches. Really enjoyable walk with stunning scenery. Beach has golden sands with great backdrop of greenery and mountains. Definitely worth a visit!

Every time I visit Cape Town I can't wait to get to Clifton beach. I love the 4 sections of beaches each with it own uniqueness. My preference is Clifton 1 and 4 but all are great. The only downside is how cold the sea is . Mind you if you do venture in beware of the strong currents. There... More
