After experiencing a number of Safari´s the highlights for us here was seeing a mother and 4 cheetah cubs on the look out for food, and also seeing Meerkats in the wild for the first time, alongside the night drive (wild cats and Spring Hares), leopard,Lion and over 120 Bird species with large numbers of raptors this was a great... Doing a game safari is a matter of chance. Sometimes you win and see something amazing; sometimes you don't. But it's all interesting. The terrain of the park is as much of the experience as the animals.I felt that four days was a good amount of time there.

Thank you first of all for the silence.......... The animal sightings spectacular, the sunset Game Drive with Thys was like driving with Google on wheels! Our best sighting was the Cheetah with her four cubs! The picnic areas was very clean and the ablution was clean with extra toiletpaper! I found my soul here!

Twee Rivieren is the main rest camp of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. If you used to more modern parks like, Kruger National Park and Addo National Park, you will be disappointed. Likely not for long, because the Kgalagadi is one of those parks that creeps in your heart. The Red Kalahari sand, vast stretches of nothing and the serenity of... More

Do you want to stay somewhere where you hear lions roaring in the distance at night? This is the place! A lovely small camp with chalets and campsites. It is in a part of the park with lots of animals so the water hole near the camp is well traveled. There is a store and a gas station where you... More

A beautiful desert park filled with animals. We saw antelope, cheetah, meercats, leopard and lots of other animals. The camps are comfortable and roomy with nice small stores. There are options for wilderness camping and even gates to Botswana and Namibia.

We stayed in one of the chalets in the Kalagadi Park which were very nice and well appointment. We were unlucky during out time there (June) to not see huge amounts of game due to the drought and scarcity of water I think. But still managed a lion sighting and wild dog as well as the usual springbok.

This was a wonderful rest camp. The campsites are large and shady and overlook the watering hole where lions were drinking daily; the hide is clean and easily accessible and the bathrooms were great. Order some roosterkoek at the shop (you must order by 2:30 pm to collect at 6), it's a must have. The game viewing on this side... More

Just a heads up. There is a policy in place that you have to stay two nights. Even if you pay for two but try leave after one - it's not going to happen no matter your sob story (as a member of our camping buddies found out - nearly missing a wedding she was the official photographer for!) Exit... More
