We visited for 6 days and tried to get an extension but this is a popular park. Travelling through Alldays the road is badly potholed but fortunately relatively quiet compared to the alternative route via Louis Trichard. We stayed the first night at Tshugulu Lodge,...More

One of the few Parks that has a sense of carefree attached to it. No fences around your cottage and elephant paths winding through the rest camp. I really enjoyed braaiing here - not to mention that great rock pool!

Camp site 4 or 5 must be one of the nicest with the big Nala Tree providing shade, the park is split in two. A western and eastern side, on the eastern side you can see the confluence of the two rivers with Botswana and...More

The Limpopo Forest camp on the western side of the park consists of 8 luxury ( in my opinion) tents, very large rooms, two beds, large bathroom and kitchen, and enclosed braai area. The camp is hardly fenced. Be warned, the bush at night isn't...More

Roads pretty good getting there, a few expected potholes. All staff were helpful, friendly, professional and passionate. An amazing landscape that photo's don't do justice for. Loved the guided tour up Mapungubwe Hill but best of all was a sunset game drive. Excellent sightings. An...More

The 2 hour Heritage tour is educational. I learnt a lot about the history of Mapungubwe. Enjoyed the views of the Shade river and Limpopo river at the Confluence viewing points. The tree top walk is absolutely amazing.

Awesome park with beautiful scenery. A high ground clearance vehicle will add to your experience, as then you can drive their eco routes. Be prepare to be amazed! Only negative thing is the lack of good maps and the Western section is a little confusing,...More

I'm not too sure if there's hiking, as we didn't do any. Check out the Sanparks website, they'll have more info
