Beautiful venue and promised to be a great experience but unfortunately half way through it started to rain and they had to stop. A refund was offered we felt we had a good time so didn't take it. We would definitely go again.

Was a very enjoyable experience and the live show was fascinating and very insightful. It is run by very friendly staff who you can see take pride and really look after their birds and keep their enclosures clean.

Shannon and her team are doing an amazing job of educating the public about birds of Prey. The place is well kept and the staff are dedicated and friendly.

attractive environment, enthusiastic people, excellent live show with birds of prey. I missed seeing the lanner falcon who used to be the star of the show. But fascinating mixture of birds close up, yet free.

A fun and interesting morning with the family of all ages. The grounds and the cages are all in great condition. A good range of raptures to be seen.

As far as sanctuaries go, this one is excellent and well focused on the wellbeing of the residents. Surrounded by light bush and some zebras, staff are friendly, enclosures are VERY clean, and the birds are well looked after. Light meals available, and a gift shop. Supporting this facility is recommended and every bird has a story worth hearing or... More

This sanctuary is located only 10mins from the main motorway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg so an easy detour. I would allow at least an hour to walk around the centre and discover the birds (a really interesting leaflet is available at reception about each species and the history of many of these rescued birds). You can spend more time to... More

A lovely outing, which can get a bit hot on a sunny day so take a hat and your sun screen. The show was amazing and interactive, so it is really enjoyable for the whole family. Magnificent views over the valley as you watch the birds of prey being released and gracefully swooping over the valley and returning. Lots to... More

I visited with small children - they loved it - the adults enjoyed it just as much. Great interaction from the staff and lovely to enjoy a hands on experience. It is really warm and humid inside the butterfly house so dress lightly. Well worth the visit.
