Badly signposted from Durban end, no where to have a leak or get a drink, oh or any fuel, though route marginally more exciting than 'The Garden Route'!

Yes the views and the drive to Zululand were beautiful. The show, however, was corny and staged and only remotely entertaining. The performers all acted like they wished they were somewhere else. Scones were ok. The reptile exhibit was really the most interesting of all,...More

We took this trip upon recommendation of our Concierge. However, it lacked activities. food availability was poor. It is a beautiful place however, as a whole day trip I think its boring. Please ensure you pack a picnic basket with you.

The hills seem to fold into each other. So different from any mountain terrain that I have seen before. There many view spots along the way.

After being mostly disappointed with Durban, we took a drive to this area - about 40 minutes outside the city and couldn't believe how things changed from being very nice and hilly, to being spectacular, with towering hills and lush vegetation. It's one of the...More

The drive up Botha's Hill to the Valley of 1000 Hills is beautiful.. There are many quaint shops along the way in which to browse and great places to stop to eat and enjoy the view. Keep a look out for the buck and zebra...More

The Valley of Thousand Hills is an amazing nature's esperience! The view is just breathtaking and enjoyed even more as a backdrop of the Zulu Dancing especially from Phezulu on the Valley of 1000 route!
