An easy one-hour drive from Durban and four and a half hours on the N3 highway from Johannesburg, there is much to explore and do in the Midlands.

So much to see and do in wonderful scenery...easy to spend two or three days and a lot of money! Stayed at the St Ives, visited Piggly Wiggly (great value food) , Spiral Blue and several other places. Also visited the Nelson Mandela capture site....More

Starting at Midmar Dam we slowly negotiated the old roads up to Mooi River stopping at Fernhill, Piggly Wiggly, Granny Mouse and finally at Biefasle for lunch. Recommended for a pleasant day out

Worth visiting! Went with some friends and explored the restaurants, craft beer tasting and the amazing craft shops. Many things to See including the Nelson Mandela capture sight.

Midlands is an amazing place to visit whether it’s a day or a weekend or for a couple of weeks. I encourage you to go all the way through the midlands and stop off at surrounding coffee shops and guest houses. They are many smaller...More

on business..wedding photography and filming....excellent scenary and fresh air...away from the pollution of the city...light snow on the way to the venue...

Although we drive through the Midlands all the time we cannot get enough of this place. Very peaceful and loads of arts and crafts
