We really appreciated the tour of this famous church. Our guide was wonderful at Sharing the stories, history and events of this place. It added a note of current realism to discussion.

The guide who showed us through the church and explained the history was amazing, he is clearly passionate about telling everyone the amazing stories about the church and the uprising.

This church figures very highly in the history of Soweto and South Africa. This is where the students who were being pursued by the police were able to find safety.

We really enjoyed visiting the Regina Mundi Church! There guide provided us with an excellent tour and visiting the upstairs gallery was fascinating, as those before we too added our names to the wall! A guided tour of this church is highly recommended!

This Catholic church dates back to 1961. It is the site of a student anti-apartheid protest in 1976 which culminated in 500 students being shot and killed by police. Bullet holes can still be seen in the ceiling and eaves of the church. My wife...More

It's everything the other reviewer have written and more, there's not much more to add. This church played an important role, providing a place for the student to meet and make their plans. We highly recommend a visit here with a guide to truly appreciate...More
