For two people or more it is more cost effective to take an Uber than the Gautrain to the airport. Neat, efficient, safe and on time. The website has all the details and the people at the station are super helpful.

There is nothing better sitting on the Gtrain wizzing down the highway to Pretoria arriving at your destination much quicker than in a car.

The Gautrain is quick, safe & easy to use, however it doesn't have a great network &, if the airport is a destination, it is quite pricey compared to metros in other countries. As a local it is one thing, but as a tourist it...More

I know for many people, myself included, (as a local) it seems too expensive. However, many people who work in Pretoria and live in Johannesburg and vice versa, it's a less stressful method of traveling to and from work daily. However, if you haven't been...More

It really is a fast and convenient way to travel. I prefer this way of travelling to and from OR Tambo airport and to business meetings in Johannesburg and Pretoria. The service is efficient , the facilities and the trains are clean and safe.

Hi Brendan Since you will only be in Johannesburg for less than a week, your only option is buying a normal card/ticket that allows you to use the train and buses whenever you want to. The card itself costs a non-refundable... More

Yes, you can purchase the ticket at the station. Check the gautrain website for the fares. From Rosebank to Hatfield Station it costs R55. With the exchange R10.60 to AUD1.00, we are talking AUD5.18.
