A Walk On The Beach
Apr 2019
We love going to Pollock Beach as it is usually not as busy as Hobie. We also feel that Pollock is often seen as the "brother in prison" yet it is beautiful, clean and family friendly. Great for walks and then to relax and have a take-away ice cream from the Something Good restaurant.

Sandy beach, very clean
Apr 2018 • Couples
We visited this very clean and pleasant sandy beach which is near the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Complex. There was a walkway running alongside the beach and street vendors had set up their stalls there - they were not pushy and were happy to let us look at their wares. We saw dolphins from the shore here too - what a fantastic sight!

A really nice beach - lovely sands
Mar 2018 • Solo
The beach is close to the Protea Marine andRadisson Blu hotels and also the Summerstrand shopping centre. It is further out of PE than say Hobie beach near the Boardwalk Casino but it is very pleasant and popular with the locals.

There is a tidal pool/ rocky area at the city end so to speak which is popular with kids and dogs. It is a really lovely walk on the firm golden sands and good to watch the waves crashing on to the beach - some surfers out.

Not many people seems to go beyond the concrete walkway, partly because the beach does become quite stony/rocky and it is much quieter. There is what looks to be quite an inviting coastal boardwalk in the distance but it is quite isolated and would give cover for miscreants and I did notice there weren't many patrons Round here there is also a small lighthouse building which when I was there was frequented by some undesirables. I would caution walking around here unless in a big group.

In summary, this is a really nice beach and I am certain you would enjoy visiting here - there is a large car park above the beach.
