Brief passing visit

Lovely little church which we stopped to look at briefly. Very typically "English" in style. Church appears to be well looked after and cared about.

Visit a piece of local history, both chapel and main church are open to public, the gardens are well-kept with all varieties of proteas. There are also some old graves

We spent a few hours one sunny winter's afternoon visiting various historical sites in Plettenberg Bay. The church and its grounds are peaceful and relaxed, and have a view down onto the coastline - not something many churches can boast about!

We only found out about this wonderful wooden church because we were geo caching in the area. what a fabulous find in the middle of the forest. We had played golf at Plettenberg Bay Country Club and commented on the small graveyard in the middle of the back 9 holes. St. Andrews was hiding just on the hill in the... More

We have christened all of our children her because we love this church so much. I don't think any further detail would help. The gardens are tranquil and the view is amazing. You should get married her it would be amazing.

If you are anything of a beginner, intermediate or advanced photographer you need to visit this end of Church street in Plettenberg Bay. The building itself, the arch with the clock, the sundial and the gardens are an inspiration to any photographer. For landscape or close up, there is plenty of chouces for good images. On a sunny day, and... More

First of all we had a walk round the beautifully kept grounds of this small charming, peaceful and pretty church. Once inside it was so peaceful, had ten minutes sat in the pew reflecting. Signed the visitors book, which was full of lovely comments. So happy we came across St. Peter's Church.

As we have access to a holiday home in Plettenberg Bay and we are Anglicans, my wife and I attend the 19th Century church of St Peters regularly when we are in the area. The church is a traditional Anglican building with a centre aisle. It is well loved and always beautifully decorated for festivals. We particularly like the way... More

This lovely church is apparently the oldest in South Africa, having been built in 1851. It's close to the main "hub" of Plett, on the road down from Main Street to the Plett Hotel. Worth a visit.
