We had heard that Jerome was one of the places we had to visit when in this part of Arizona, it did not disappoint. A lot of history presented here, about Jerome, that helped as we moved around the town. Very friendly staff in the visitors center. You must see the movie about the town.

This is a must do first if you are visiting Jerome for the first time. The short video presentation was the most interesting don't miss it! The views here are great and the volunteers are very helpful and informative.

Admission is only $5 (less for children) and includes a two-story museum and an interesting historical film. What I found most fascinating was the huge diorama of Cleopatra Hill showing the mine shafts, major mineral deposits, and fault zones all sitting under the town of Jerome. Worth a visit!

The park has amazing views! You can see the San Francisco Peaks from the parking lot on a clear day. We had very limited time, so we couldn't tour the house, but I think it's worth doing.

Excellent introduction to the world of mining, including a model of the mining shafts/tunnels and a collection of mineral samples, in addition to the history of the building as the Douglas Mansion. Don't miss the video or the room displaying fluorescent minerals.

This is one of the most unique ghost towns you will see. It's history as one of the world biggest copper mines is fascinating, which is precisely why a stop over at the State Park Museum is a must. You have to walk around the city. It doesn't take long, but you get a real sense of what it was... More

This place is way up there - I forget, like at least a mile high, and it's arid and dry with a view for miles. It's basically just a pull-off on the windy road that takes you past the town of Jerome. Jerome is a kick in the pants, I highly suggest you visit.

Took a partial day trip from Sedona. The museum was well cared for but a bit costly for what turned out to be a rather short visit. Simply put, there is not a LOT here. The video was the highlight. It was very helpful toward the rest of our visit to Jerome. Jerome itself was OK too. There was little... More
