We stopped in later in the day and Barbara was pouring. She is a fantastic steward of this winery, explaining each wine with detail and passion. We enjoyed a couple of glasses with some locals and brought a bottle of The Poet home with us.

Each variety tastes like it was created to be unique. Grapes are sought from the most suitable places for the taste they are aiming at. This winery has the feel of someone's private hobby.

Her knowledge, attentiveness and friendliness made the experience...More

For us ... this place was a bit hard to find. We stayed at the Iron Horse and were so occupied by the tasting rooms which faced us -- we didn't think to look next door. The sign is also "dark" -- so we mistook...More
