By and large an unknown state park, Dead Horse Ranch offers many things - lakes (they call lagoons) for fishing, camp and cabin sites, horseback riding, lots of hiking trails. Only complaint is that they need to redo bathrooms in cabin area.

$7 for a car of 4 and a nice day. You can bring a picnic. Beautiful views with lakes you can walk all 3. You may see some eagles and wildlife. Horses too!

This has got to be one of the best places to mountain bike. It is located about 30 minutes south of Sedona. I would highly suggest a clockwise route. Downhill is screaming fun.
