Coming in for vacation from the east, I am used to playing on desert courses around Phoenix. This course however had almost no hard pan dirt to deal with. While not all the grass was green, at least there was brown grass off on the edges that didn't beat up my clubs when I had to shoot out of it.... More

Practice green was long grass which was my first hint. Every green but one was lumpy and had bare patches. Several tee box's were dome shaped. Plus, the price was way too high for August.

My friend and I wanted to golf on Saturday afternoon. We found a really discounted price at Lone Tree through a golf website. When I called to reserve a tee time, it was wide open because there were so few people playing. Plus, their price was a dollar less than the golf website. The staff had us on the greens... More

Our mixed foursome arrived for a twilight tee time (after 1:30); staff were fine: a minor problem with the check-in was quickly resolved. Nice practice area. We got out 10 minutes early and there was no one in front or behind us (until we caught a group on # 16) so we had a leisurely 4 hour round. Fairways and... More

We played with friends who live close and thought we'd try this course out which we determined is rather forgettable. It runs in and around a Del Webb community so all the houses look alike as do a lot of the holes. The front nine is unremarkable and the back a bit more interesting. The fairways are green of course... More

Played Lone Tree last weekend...summer golf in Arizona is an "iffy" proposition, but this was not a memorable round - other than the fact the putting surfaces were so sandy and choppy, made for a long day. One cool hole is a Par 3 "island" hole - other than that, there are better options out there. Try Ocotillo, ASU Karsten,... More

Lone Tree Golf Club House Restaurant is a great place for a hamburger! Very tasty, nice price, great service and over looks the golf course. I am not a golfer, my husband is, says he like to golf there only on the Friday late afternoon special. Great in the winter, tough in the summer when it is still 107 at... More

I did not get a very good first impression when I walked into the Pro Shop and the staff member was cursing under his breath about someone on the other end of the phone. Nice! The warm-up area is spacious but had limited grass to hit from. The course is OK-some elevated and well-sloped greens; lots of sand in the... More
