Walked down by the lake and fed the fish. The boat launch was quick and easy and not crowded on lake at all.

Katherines Landing is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area administered by the National Park Service. There is a modest entrance fee. Inside is a nice RV Park and Marina with boat rentals and launch. Also there is a full service restaurant and store. Glimpses of the wild Butros grazing in the park are common. Inside the park but... We went out on the dock to feed the carp, but didn't see any. But there were tons of seagulls and ducks. Feeding them a couple of old English muffins was a hoot! We would have liked to see the carp, but it was still enjoyable.

Take a nice little drive to Katherine's Landing. It's so close but yet - out of the maddening crowd. We just went there again, after several years because we moved. So peaceful, no crowds in early November. The restaurant had just closed for the winter. Nice drive, nice to just walk around. Enjoy.

We stayed in the rv park the one with full hook ups because temeratures were in the upper 90s. This is in the bottom five of our worst dump we have been in and we have stayed in around 200 parks. The bathrooms were clean but we were the only ones there to get them dirty. If your boating it... More

My wife and I drove to this site on 10/18/16. This is a FEE area but if you have your parks pass, national parks pass or military ID, there was no fee. Took us awhile to find the location so we could feed the carp. As you drive down toward the lake, parking is on the far right just before... More

We rented a slip to keep our boat and jet skis in for a weekend and the docks are literally falling apart. There's nails sticking out everywhere and the docks are unstable and wobbly. There are metal brackets also coming out that will damage your water craft.

I have rented a monthly slip now for 5 years. Although it is nice to have a slip available year-round; the maintenance on the docks fall under simply "poor". The security gate is always open because the lock does not work all the time. There is a disgusting smell that will knock you out as you walk through the gate... More

Drove up to the lake on Saturday, July 30th. The roads are 99% repaved. Still some roadwork on the sides and the parking lots still have equipment located there, but the roads themselves were actually paved. Nice now that they are nearing completion. Would have been nicer if done during the winter months of slow traffic. I still never see... More
