This was a cute little museum. It was a little scanty on the "history" but had a cool video about the oil spill and the other disasters in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed this museum and learned so much about the Valdez area and its history lincluding the oil spill. Admission is inexpensive and I would allow more than an hour to tour. If you decide to read absolutely every word give yourself more time. Exhibits...More

This excellent museum has displays and something for all ages. They actually seem to make sure children are engaged. Plenty for adults to see about Valdez, the Good Friday earthquake, the gold rush, the Exxon Valdez. Very worthwhile for all. Reciprocal admission with NARM membership.

My advice is to take the free tour of the Old Town of Valdez before viewing the museum for it will give you a much better understanding of everything you will see at the museum (which has two locations by the way). Very well organized,...More

We spent several hours here. It is full of information about the Gold Rush and the local history. Well laid out, lots of displays. We really enjoyed ourselves, would recommend to anyone!!
