You won't find a much better island/beach/tropical area. It is unspoiled and lightly populated which has kept the area pristine. It's like you have reached the end of the world with the remote and tranquil atmosphere. Somewhere that everyone should experience once!

We went on shore in Fakarava and went on a walk across the island. The place was really impressive. The water is amazing. You can see the nurse sharks swimming by as you are wading in the water!

All of the Polynesian islands are simply wonderful. The lagoon at Fakarava has extremely clear waters very good fro snorkling.

Coral everywhere. Very clean and clear water at the beaches. It was lovely walking around. A good place to snorkel & watch some coral and fish. It is a small island, so it was quiet and laid back which we love.

The beach is very pretty and clean but it's certainly no reason to visit here. Had we not been on a cruise where Fakarava was part of the itinerary, I'd have never picked this as a vacation spot. Certainly, your opinion will be different if...More
