What a beautiful spot this is. Not for surfers, it's just a swimming beach, safe and shallow it would be perfect for teaching kids to swim or for novice snorkellors. Fantastic water temp and the colour is amazing. Apparently it's the only public beach on...More

Love the beach, water was blue and clear. Very relaxing day. My only complaint is the prices charged to do any thing in Bora Bora made it a very expensive place to visit. Found Moorea near by island just as pretty and a lot more...More

An excellent beach for those who want to get away from the waves and just bob like a cork. We were surprised how few people were taking advantage of this peaceful oasis. Perfect for those just learning to snorkel as they don't have to deal...More

The beach is quite long, has nice white and soft sand, palm trees for shade, corals for snorkeling, isn't too shallow to swim in and the colors of the water are picture postcard. There are some people but we've never seen it crowded. Also, there...More

We spent a day here to get away from our resort bungalow, the water is so clear here, tons of coral and fish. Watch out for sea urchins though!

The beach is nice and clean. Great for snorkeling too. It's not too busy during my visit yesterday. The beach access is across the street from Intercontinental Hotel. There is parking too. I encourage you to check it out when visiting the Matira.

This beach is absolutely stunning. My partner and I spent a full day here and it was totally worth it. Crystal clear water, stunning view, and not too crowded (you've got to find the spot that suits you best though). If you stay in Bora...More

The Pearl is on a Motu and is a 10 min boat ride (might be additional cost) from resort! I don't know where the boat would dock, I'd assume Vaitape. In Vaitape there are many shops and a grocery store and pharmacy to get... More

Since you're staying in Matira I suggest stop by the 2 supermarkets in the town of Vaitape ( Super U or Chin Lee). I am sure it will be less expensive versus buying it from the hotel.
