Nice family walk

Really enjoyed my walk, we went with a group so took about an hour round trip. Well worth visiting and an easy walk, not too taxing for the little ones.

Me and my partner walked through here yesterday to get down into Orewa, we were so glad we took this route instead of the road. Lovely paths to follow and signs for the different trees and fauna. The only thing missing was a reminder of directions once you're on the paths and have a junction.

well, a last minute diversion walk with a friend, instead of the usual trek up, down, around Orewa Beach; which is always lovely. A pleasant and relatively easy trek, took a couple of the routes - lookout? you are kidding. Still pleasant and good company; then sadly ended at Kensington Park-what horror. Glad to make our way out of that... More

Great bush walk but could do with more parking for travellers with cars. The signage was not very clear, we didn't know where, how far or long the walk would take us. At intersections we didn't know where each path would lead us and how long it would take. A big picture type of map detailing where you are would... More

We walked through Kensington Park to the bush entrance. Beautiful trees on this easy walk only steps at the end coming up to Old North Rd. Pretty little ferns and mosses on the side of the track and even some seats along the way if you need to rest. Just such a lovely shortish walk in lush NZ bush.

My family and I love our short walks through Alice Eaves, which is a tranquil haven away from the increasingly busy surrounds of Silverdale and Orewa. Although not a huge reserve, once you get deeper in it's fairly easy to imagine you're in the heart of the NZ bush. The tracks are well-constructed and maintained, and there are some good... More

Being locals we love doing different walks. Over the years there has been a lot of work done on the walk ways. A lovely easy walk with some stairs up or down depending on which way you go. So nice to have the amazing beaches and bush area all so close.

Wow, so lucky to have this bush reserve at our doorstep. Boasting kauri trees and other native flora. We walk the dog thru here. It's an easy walk, path all the way thru. Make sure you spray the spray provided at entrance to help protect the kauri from viruses.

Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve is just a quick walk from Orewa Beach or Orewa shopping Centre. As a family Sunday outing it is a superb opportunity for the family to see native plants in their native state while exercising off their energy, for a visitor with not much time, the reserve is a fantastic introduction to New Zealand Native bush...
