Set in the mountain opposite the boats are the rock tombs of Dalyan. During the day is the best to see them, although at night they light them up. Apparently these are over 3000 years old.
At the time of visiting (May 2017) we weren't able to visit the tombs, however just seeing them from either the ground or on the Dalyan River was awe inspiring. Truly eye-catching, they tower over Dalyan town with sheer magnificence, a sight to behold indeed...More
We passed the rock tombs on our way by river to Ishtuzu - what an amazing surprise they were! Our tour guide was very informative, only wish we could've got up closer. Would love to see this at night as I hear they are lit...More
Our guide for the day, from Tantur Travel, was exceptional. Thoroughly knowledgeable on the area and multilingual too. I would recommend this as a must on any itinerary fr the area.
Visited part of an excursion to turtle beach. Our guide gave us very detailed information about the history of the tombs as well as the myth. Worth a visit when passing!

lovely friendly people . quite place . cool drinks served there on hot summer nights .nice view over the water x
One is enguılfed in a sense of being lost in "eternal" nature of the world when visiting the tombs. The location is close to town center and the lovely yacht harbor.
These are a spectacular backdrop to the town especially so at night but youre not going to be getting very close to them so take a decent zoom lens
