Even though the weather was gray and misty - and it was winter - we went to Ham Rong. The flowers were really pretty and while the statues of the animals of the Chinese zodiac weren't all in the best shape, they were fun and lively. Plus, it's funny that they chose Mickey Mouse, Scooby Doo, and Tom (the cat from Tom and Jerry)! If you go up to the top, they offer cross-bow shooting (toys, basically, not dangerous). There are lots of options for light food and drink as well as lots of souvenirs - specifically ethnic minority clothing - in the park as well as on the road to it. It was well worth the trip and inexpensive entry fee. Just be careful of your footing when it is misty or rainy.

You can access the entrance behind the Church. There's an entrance fee applied. There' re a few attraction on the mountain. The first stop is the Orchid garden, i was told there' re more than 200 types of orchid here but they were not in bloom when i was there. Next noticeable stop is the Peach blossom garden with a few hundreds trees, however we were unlucky as the bloom period just passed. Continue up and you should see Cloud yard and Heaven gate, named so because at certain time of the day, you will be cover by mist/cloud here. It was clear when we reached there though :( So as you see, it all depends on your luck

If the weather is good, one should not miss this attraction. It gives a bird eye view of the entire Sapa town. The climb can be challenging but it is worth the effort. Be careful of the slippery surface of the steps.

The good thing is the attraction is right in the town centre. Easily accessible
However, the place looks out dated without much maintenance.
Anyway good for a visit if one has nothing much to do.
Cat cat trekking n fansipan much better.

This place has spectacular views from the start to the end. If you got time to waste you could spend almost a whole day exploring along the tracks and taking in the scenery. Some parts are tricky to walk along as it gets narrow for like 6 steps. Worth the money just find out where the ticket booth is before going otherwise you will walk up 100 stairs only to walk back down to the booth. If you are there then go have a look!!!

This is very close to the Notre Dam cathedral. You will find yourself spending 2-3 hours. There are many trails and tracks to follow. We didn't go to the top of the mountain as it started raining.

Not necessarily a let down but flowers were far from their best in the month of September and there was only one good view point which we could find with ease and it was still a trek

We really enjoyed this activity. We walked up reasonably fast and it took us about 20 minutes to get to the viewing platform. There are no English signs so we ended up going a very long way but we eventually made it. We went in the late afternoon and we wasn’t disappointed. The clouds seem to clear in the late afternoon so we waited at the top to see the view with a little less clouds! Wear good footwear and take something warm for the top as it got a bit chilly. On our way down around 6:30pm the park was pretty much empty so we managed to get some amazing pictures without any people in, which I would recommend!

Hà m Rồng Mountain is located 500m from Sapa town center. The climb to the summit and its orchid garden is relatively interesting. From the summit, altitude around 1.800m panoramic view of the Sa Pa valley, Muong Hoa, and Ta Phin, floating behind the white clouds floating in the sky.
Access from the old stone church and the Ham Rong Hotel, long staircase ( height steps ) to go to the enter of the park . On each side , shops, cafes and restaurants Warning ; the change of temperature is very fast when there are clouds, think to take a light windproof fleece vest
Price 70k
Good hiking spot

May I know can we climb up Ham Rong Mountain to see sunrise before 6am? Because the opening hours is at 6am, but the sunrise time is about 530am. I am afraid will miss it

You could probably talk to the staff at the entry, they're friendly and flexible enough (e.g. I've stayed for an hour there after the closure time).
