I guess Tianjin is more interesting to Chinese tourists then to westerners. It is a large city with a bit of Disney land traits. Lots is rebuild and fake. For the me a stroll by the river (on the north eastern side, not the west) and a stroll in the five great avenues in a sunny day is far more... More

Personally I think that this attraction isn't very interesting, it has nothing of cultural or historic, the architecture wants to recall the European Art Nouveau style, some nice building but nothing more to see than low-end restaurants.

Really interesting buildings and history in this area. The best coffee in Tianjin in on Guiling Road - its called Simple Cafe. Amazing double espresso. We also ate Tianjin Pork Buns at a restaurant just near Simple Cafe called Goubuli, which were delicious. Sorry - gobbled the Pork Buns and forgot to photograph them!

Tianjin is just an overall place when the weather is good. They converted this stadium into a beautiful brick circular event - it's like such grandeur for such a simple running track. Then there are such broad boulevards and beautiful buildings. Very nice

We did not find it really worth the visit. It was too cold to walk around. The restaurants there are unique though

This is just one more example of a Chinese city creating a faux tourist attraction then hyping it up to rake in dollars. There's really nothing to see here other than 19th century European facades plastered on a series of expensive restaurants. These sorts of places always make me depressed, because the real China that ceased to exist a decade... More

Wudadao is a fabulous area, and the stadium is most impressive. The architecture around the five avenues transport you in another era, another country. Great spot for photography, delicious food and unique finds.

It's supposed to be made up of 5 avenues which used to be the homestead of some quite important people. Nowadays it has become a Mecca of trendy restaurants & cafes. Compared to the rest of the city, it's less dusty, more tree friendly and somewhat quieter.

I did not like it very much, its only the buildings made as per the European styles, Nothing else of a tourist interest.
